GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Kindergartners at Orchard Avenue Elementary received quite a surprise Tuesday. The School was given a brand new fleet of Strider balance bikes. The donations were made by: the BNSF Railway Foundation, Neiman’s Sawmill, & Walmart, they donated $12,000 worth of biking equipment to two schools here in Grand Junction as a part of the “All Kids Bike” program. A campaign with the ambitious goal of teaching every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE classes. The school says it looks forward to using the bikes for years to come.
