MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Clifton roads are getting a major facelift, as a multi-million dollar project aims to improve the flow of traffic for motorists. The three million dollar road project will extend Smallwood Drive, and realign F 1/2 road on the east side of the I-70 business loop.
The goal of the project is to help traffic move quickly and more efficiently. But one Clifton resident believes this project won’t be as successful as officials are hoping for.
“I believe it will not work, because as you see, the traffic behind me and the trucks are going so fast,” says Tammy Dillavou, who lives near the site of the new project. “And we as residents have to turn here.” The project, spearheaded by United Companies, is expected to be complete by the end of October.
