Palisade resident falls from boat, drowns in Colorado River

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has completed its examination regarding the death of Mark Lancaster, a 62-year-old male resident of Palisade, Colorado.

Mr. Lancaster is the male that that fell from his boat on the Colorado River on April 19, 2020. The cause of death is drowning and the manner of death is accident. Toxicology is pending at this time.

Authorities say Mark Lancaster drowned in the Colorado River after he fell from a boat while fishing near Grand Avenue Bridge east of Grand Junction.
