GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - One of several people arrested in connection with the Kyle Free murder case now knows when her preliminary hearing will begin.
Rebecca Walker's attorneys said they would like a bit more time before the preliminary hearing, and the judge granted the time. The prosecution thought the hearing would take around 90 minutes, but the defense said it would be better to have two hours.
They decided to come back on April 15 for the preliminary hearing, from 8:15 - 9 a.m. and 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Walker is charged with four felonies, including first degree murder and abuse of a corpse, in the murder case of Kyle Free. Free was reported missing in 2018, and his body was found in December 2018.
Walker is currently being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on a no-bond hold.
