Produce Market Hits Downtown GJ for the First Time

Local News
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Thursday was the kick off of the new Fall Produce Market in downtown Grand Junction.

The event is an extension of the summertime farmer’s market, but organizers said it’s a more intimate setting with only local farmers.

“Farmers markets are one of our biggest venues to get out and sell our fruit,” said owner of Wag’s World Orchards Jan Waggoner. “From that we develop our wholesale customers and our customer base all up and down the Western Slope.”

The market runs each Thursday between 3 p.m and 6 p.m through the month of October. Booths will be selling seasonal fruits and vegetables in the dirt lot adjacent to the parking garage on Fourth Street and Rood Avenue.
