Ray Scott to run for Mesa County Commissioner

Local News

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — State Senator, Ray Scott has announced his plans to run for office in Mesa County.

Scott’s run for Mesa County Commissioner comes from his feeling that the County needs someone who has experience at tackling issues on the state level.

Scott will run for the seat currently held by John Justman. Scott believes that when Rose Pugliese reaches her term limit, he can fill her role of taking on issues in the Colorado State Legislature.

Scott was first elected to the Colorado house in 2010. He then moved to the state senate in 2014, and currently serves as the minority whip for republicans.
