Red Robin Helps to Support Local Law Enforcement

Local News

Colorado based non-profit Shield 616 and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers are hosting “Thin Blue Line” Spirit Night.

On Monday night only, the restaurant has committed 20% of dinner sales to go towards helping Shield 616 outfit the Grand Junction Police Officers with safety gear.

GJPD says the non-profit’s efforts provide the community a way to show their appreciation for officers.

“To give back, to contribute, to develop relationship, and to give in a meaningful way to something tangible and practical that is life saving equipment for our officers,” said Heidi Davidson, Police Information Coordinator for Grand Junction Police Department.

“If we can help keep them safe so that they can get home to their families at night, that’s what is most important,” said Ryan Cevette, General Manager at Red Robin.

Currently, only Grand Junction officers who are on duty have this armor. Shield 616 wants to provide each and every officer whether they’re on duty or not with this equipment.

The fundraiser is taking place at Red Robin on Rimrock Avenue until 8 p.m.
