GRAND JUNCTION, Colo – Efforts to keep the Bureau of Land Management in Grand Junction continue.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was joined by a number of stakeholders and local leaders to discuss the importance of the BLM, for not only Grand Junction and Colorado, but for all western states. The round table discussion covered ranching, recreation, oil & gas, water rights, and a number of other issues related to the agency.

Boebert has introduced the LOCAL Act, legislation aimed at making the bureau’s western headquarters permanent. She has also formally invited Secy. Deb Haaland, of the Department of Interior, to visit Grand Junction to better understand the importance of keeping the bureau closer to the lands it oversees.
