GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — According to officials with the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD), an employee at the Bank of the San Juans hit the panic button at approximately 2 p.m. on Feb. 7. The incident happened at the branch located on Horizon Drive.

Officers responded and secured the area. The employee confirmed a robbery had happened and that the suspect had fled the building with the money.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses and following up on potential leads.
