CLIFTON, Colo – Roice-Hurst Humane Society hosts a clinic where, for 10 dollars, cats can get spayed and neutered at central high school. Funding is provided by Lucky Day Animal Rescue to make these surgeries available at an extremely low cost for residents in the area.
Although felines are as active as other pets outdoors, the nonprofit animal shelter points out two top benefits for these procedures.
“It can help decrease behaviors such as marking and house soiling in certain parts of the house that you may not want them to,” Ashley DiGrado details, “It can also help prevent pet overpopulation by decreasing unwanted litters of kittens.”
Roice-Hurst Humane Society looks to have these clinics monthly. Each household is limited to three pets.
On top of the 10-dollar offer, core vaccines are included with each surgery thanks to a generous grant from PetSmart charities.
