The Grand Junction Police Department is searching for a suspect who tried to hold up a Rite Aid  Wednesday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 12:30 pm. Police officers were called to the Rite Aid on the corner of 1st St. and Grand Avenue, The male suspect attempted to rob the store, displaying a knife, before running off and fleeing in what was described as a white hatchback, possibly with a rack on top,

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” to 6′ tall, with a thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a plaid shirt, jeans and a baseball cap.

No one was injured in the incident.
