Send a paper doll to your favorite teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week Fundraiser

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — School District 51 Foundation, the D51 School Board, and the Mesa Valley Education Association (MVEA) are sponsoring a Teacher Appreciation Promotion to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-7, 2021. We have been the largest school district in Colorado to remain open throughout the 2020-2021 school year. This is because of the hard work of so many D51 staff members. Of all years, this is a year we want to celebrate our D51 teachers.

Parents and community members can purchase a virtual paper doll in honor of a teacher. Virtual paper dolls will be delivered to teachers during the week of May 3-7. Anyone who buys a paper doll can select a message for the teacher of their choice, which will be written on the paper doll.

Paper dolls can be purchased at www.d51foundation.org for $10 each. The funds raised will go specifically to technology for students and professional learning for D51 staff. You can also find a link to the School District 51 Foundation on the School District 51 website located at www.d51schools.org.

Our public school teachers work hard every day to bring the strongest education to our students. School District 51 currently has over 21,000 students enrolled in its 46 schools. Celebrating the impact our teachers make on our students and community is important. The School District 51 Foundation, the D51 School Board, and MVEA want to sincerely thank our teachers and celebrate the ways they touch our entire community.
