MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Law enforcement worked to shut down several illegal gambling locations in unincorporated Mesa County this year.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit, Major Offender Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations teamed up to shut down three operations, leaving zero operational illegal gambling locations as of 7:48 p.m. on October 19, just 27 days ago.
Law enforcement closed five locations in Mesa County:
- The 777 Game Room
- The Fishin Hole Skilled Gaming
- Spin N Win 2
- Spin N Win 3
- Lucky Clifton
777 on North Avenue has been vacated and is officially no longer in operation. During our visit this afternoon, we were greated by every surrounding business owner with compliments and celebration. It was humbling to watch them rejoice in reclaiming their piece of this wonderful county. The manager at the post office was brought to tears when we assisted the maintenance man/property owner by removing the window decals and sign, officially signifying to all that the location is no longer open for business.
