Doctors Stress the Importance of Routine Visits

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- According to a recent survey, 3 in 4 Americans have delayed or canceled their health appointments due to fear of COVID-19. However, doctors say that missing appointments can put you at a higher risk for serious health issues.

Day 3: Grizzly Creek fire now 3,702 acres, 0% contained, I-70 remains closed in both directions

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Grizzly Creek Fire, which ignited Monday evening in Glenwood Canyon, is expected to be extremely active and fast-moving Wednesday. Hotshot crews in Division A will prepare structure protection, setting up hose and sprinkler kits in the No Name area. Heavy helitankers and engines will be used in Division W to secure the Shoshone power plant. Crews in Division N are scouting the Coffee Pot Road and Flat Tops area to locate values at risk, identify firefighting needs, and opportunities for containment along the north end of the fire. Engines, heavy equipment, and hand crews in Division Z will be working in the Lookout Mountain area preparing structure protection.

Red Flag Conditions Push Pine Gulch Past 50,000 Acres

The Pine Gulch Fire grew to 51,455 acres on Tuesday and remains 7% contained. The fire was very active on Tuesday as it continued moving northeast. In addition to activity on the northeast head of the fire, there was also increased activity on the northwestern flank as the fire moved northeast across the 200 road and north over western Cow Ridge. There was some activity on the western end of the North Dry Fork (200) road in an area inaccessible to crews. That area is being monitored and is being addressed by bucket drops from helicopters.
