Sheriff's Office Makes Second Arrest in Murder of Kyle Free

CLIFTON, Colo. - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office announces a second arrest in relation to the murder of Kyle Free, the 32-year-old man from Clifton who was reported missing in April of 2018.

Investigators arrested 28-year-old Timothy Zane Russman in Collbran on Wednesday afternoon. The MCSO says Russman lives in Clifton.

Russman is charged with Accessory to the Crime of First Degree Murder (Class 4 felony), tampering with Evidence (Class 6 Felony) and Abuse of a Corpse (Class 2 Misdemeanor).

On November 27, 2018, the MSCO announced the arrest of 34-year-old Rebecca Walker in Clifton on four felony charges that included first degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

Both Walker and Russman are held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on no-bond holds.

Further details in the case are unavailable as documents have been ordered sealed by the court. Even after this second arrest, the MCSO says they are still actively investigating the case.
