RIFLE, Colo. — A restaurant in Rifle that’s been defying the state’s safer at home order is in some hot water Thursday.
Shooter’s Grill in downtown Rifle was hit with a temporary restraining order.
County officials say they filed a complaint against the business for ignoring the safer at home mandate, which led to the restraining order being granted by the district court.
Shooter’s Grill was served with a Cease and Desist Order but continued to operate Tuesday night and into Wednesday. The restraining order was issued Wednesday.
Officials say they warned the owner of Shooter’s about the consequences of ignoring the safer at home order several times, but the warnings were ignored.
The restaurant owner says she’s now moving tables out onto the city street and opening back up for business.
