St. Mary’s invests $300,000 in HomewardBound’s new Pathways Family Shelter

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The gift of giving– something HomewardBound of the Grand Valley and St. Mary’s Medical Center have been doing for the community, and for each other, for years.

HomewardBound recently opened a family-focused shelter fully equipped with laundry services, children’s areas, and more.

On Thursday, St. Mary’s Medical Center announced a hefty investment in the shelter to make sure these services keep going strong.

That’s a $300,000 dollar investment over a 3-year-period.

The shelter opened in July of this year, providing families with a place to sleep, get a meal, and receive wellness care.

St. Mary’s has supported HomewardBound since the very beginning– both financially and through numerous programs– including a food recovery program, laundry services, and board support.

The shelter runs entirely off donations. If you’re interested in lending a helping hand, click here.
