Stuff The Bus ends Monday night– if you want to donate, think fast!

Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — District 51 has the Stuff the Bus campaign–a school supply drive to help provide for those families and students who are in need.

With the summer days numbered, Stuff the Bus is coming to a close on Monday night. Not to worry, there’s still time to add your donations to the pile of school supplies already dropped off.

Some of the most in-demand items are: number two pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, and three ring binders.

So how many items have been brought to the bus so far? The exact number is hard to predict.

Representatives say it is a lot like Christmas morning– they never know how much they have truly gathered until the “un-stuff” the bus.

District 51 expects to see a turnout similar to previous years, which have been pretty amazing.

This is not only the last weekend to donate, but, this Saturday, the mall will have a back to school bash!

Starting at 11 a.m.– you can expect giveaways in the bus area, as well as the school supplies list for your child’s school.

You can also find individual school supply lists at Target, Walmart, City Market, Safeway, and Office Depot.
