GRAND JUNCTION, COLO.– According to the Grand Junction Police Department, at about 3:30 am, officers were dispatched to Patterson Road between 1st Street and Mira Vista Road with reports of a fallen power line pole.
Due to the incident, Patterson Road was closed down today in order to repair the fallen power lines.
The situation left people without power in a nearby neighborhood from about 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. According to a local Xcel Energy spokesperson, Xcel crew began fixing the pole, Sunday Morning.
It took about four hours to get the power back on, because crews were reassembling the power lines. Even though, the incident was inconvenient a resident from Northridge Dr. told us she’s satisfied with how the situation was handled.
A Seargent with the Grand Junction Police Department told us the driver who hit the pole has been located.
