Suspect Arrested for Shooting at Desert Party

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.

A party in the desert ended in a shooting early Saturday near 27 1/4 Road.

A suspect is in custody after a good time nearly turns deadly. In the aftermath, 60 to 80 people were identified, and talked to after Angel Rodriguez-Archuleta is alleged to have opened fire. One victim tells deputies a man started shooting at them as they tried to escape in a truck.

Luckily, no one was injured during this shooting and weapons were recovered from the scene in an area of the desert known as “the dam”.

Rodriguez-Archuleta is facing attempted 2nd degree murder and attempted assault in the first degree and felony menacing charges.
