GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KREX) — The City of Montrose is excited to announce its family-oriented festivities planned for Independence Day, Monday, July 4th.

The annual 4th of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. starting at the west side of Montrose’s historic Main Street from Pythian Ave to Rio Grande Ave. The festivities will take place later that afternoon moving to the Montrose rotary Amphitheater in Cerise Park. There will be food trucks, a beer garden that will open at 4 p.m., and a performance by the Falconaires Air Force Academy Band following right after.

Following the performance from the Falconaires, NBC 2021 The Voice winner, Girl Named Tom will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Both concerts are free to the public.

At dusk, the annual firework display is scheduled to begin.

“We are thrilled to welcome both the Falconaires and Girl Named Tom to Montrose to help us celebrate the 4th of July,” said City of Montrose Events Coordinator Kathryn Schroer.

“With the parade, music, and firework show, this year’s celebration will be one to remember.”

The City of Montrose has about a dozen floats pre-registered for the parade. If you would like to be presented in the parade, the deadline to register is Monday, June 27th. You can find the registration form can be found at the following link here
