Join her in making Kieflings using a recipe that has been handed down for generations.
- 4 cups of flour
- 4 sticks of softened butter
- 1/2 cup of sugar (regular)
- 1 spoon vanilla extract
- 1 bowl powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix flour, butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add extra flour if at a higher altitude. Dough should be firm but still easily form a small ball.
Roll the dough in your hands into small balls and place on baking sheet about four fingers apart.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bottom of the cookies are golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.
Once cooled roll in powdered sugar and plate.
Store in the refrigerator.
