GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Mesa County Elections passed their audit, and so did all of the other
counties in the state in the first round. The office was notified Wednesday that they are clear to
proceed to canvass and certify their election results.

“I find the election process exhilarating!” said Brandi Bantz, Mesa County Elections Director.
“Watching the Risk Limiting Audit Board work to identify the ballots, pull the ballots, complete the
entry and the satisfaction of seeing the results of all our hard work come full cycle brings me so much
pride.”

“Every time the team consisting of Election Officials and the Politically Appointed Risk Limiting Audit
Board passes this milestone, it is cause for celebration,” said Sheila Reiner, Elections Supervisor. “It
means that the equipment counted the ballots accurately, and we’ve proven it.”
