GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — According to Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD), just before 7 p.m. on Monday emergency responders were called to the 2600 block of Patterson Road due to a single vehicle crash.
The adult female driver was transported to the hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
Traffic in both directions was diverted from Patterson Road between N. 1st Street and 7th Street for an extended period of time. Westbound lanes were cleared by crews within an hour, but eastbound lanes were closed for a little over 2 1/2 hours.
While the cause and circumstance of the accident remain under investigation, alcohol is being looked at as a possible factor.
