One Colorado citizen tried to do something about what she calls inhumane bobcat trapping but the Colorado Parks and Wildlife commissioners didn’t agree with her.
The CPW commissioners met this morning to talk about a wide range of issues including bobcats.
After hours of testimony the commission voted unanimously to deny the citizen’s petition to ban bobcat trapping or hunting.
An amendment was passed in 1996 banning the use of inhumane trapping methods of bobcats.
Since 2002, over 24,000 bobcats have been trapped and hunted in Colorado for their pelts and eventually sold to Asia for fur coats.
