GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.
According to an FBI investigation Daniel Gallegos sent three letters to three different states describing his intent to kidnap, murder, and dismember women ages 15 to 30 years old.
Gallegos is charged with interstate transmission of communications containing threats to kidnap or injure.
Inside the federal court house today, Gallegos was advised of the charges at a plea hearing and entered a plea of not guilty.
The trial of Daniel Gallegos is set for November 4th at the federal court house in Grand Junction.
If convicted, Gallegos could serve five years in federal prison, pay a fine of $250,000, or both.
