DELTA, Colo. — A little girl found wandering near a Western Slope intersection, leads to the discovery of two bodies in a Delta County home.
Shortly after 8 pm on Wednesday, deputies were sent to an area between Crawford and Hotchkiss, after being told a 2-year-old girl was found walking near Crawford Road and Little Road.
Authorities say they ultimately went to an address on Garber Road and while trying to make contact with the girl’s parents, deputies looked through a window and saw a small child crawling on the floor who appeared to be covered in blood.
Forcing their way into the home, deputies determined the child, along with a twin sibling also found at the scene, were both unharmed.
A short time later, authorities say they found the bodies of Brandon Sullivan and his wife, Amanda, both 33, lying on the floor.
Early findings show the Sullivans both suffered head trauma with a firearm discovered close to their bodies.
An autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death.
The three children are in the custody of family members.
