Unattended campfire sparks Pack Creek Fire near Moab

PACK CREEK, Utah – In Utah, an unattended campfire has lead to the Pack Creek fire that has quickly jumped from 100 acres to over 5,000 with zero percent containment.

Pack Creek has been evacuated while fire crews have been working to extinguish this rapidly growing fire. Multiple fire units are in the area and have been battling the fire from the air and ground. the main concern for park creek is the lack of fire restrictions.

Fire season is in full swing and due to high winds, low humidity, and severe drought tourists and residents need to be more cautious.
