GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — KREX has an update on the Ratekin Towers meth contamination. After further testing– nine more units have been found with meth residue.

this comes in addition to the first 5 units KREX originally reported. You can find that report here.

Three of those nine apartments were found to have levels that required further testing because it suggested some form of meth use. This could, at some point, warrant an eviction.

Six of the nine only had low levels but will also undergo more tests as a precaution.

The housing authority says it will not move forward with any eviction proceedings until more tests are done in order to make the appropriate decision. They will also test all of the remaining 44 units as a precaution.
