Update – All shelter-in-place orders have been lifted near the Mind Springs facility on 28 3/4 Road, and the road has been re-opened.
This all started around 10:30 am Thursday morning, after reports of a possible suicidal person with a gun at the Mind Springs facility at 515 28 3/4 Road. For a time, Nisley Elementary was put on lockdown, and Bookcliff Middle School was put on shelter-in-place, as were all residences and businesses within a quarter-mile of the Mind Springs facility. 28 3/4 Road between Elm and North was also shut down.
Now, all restrictions have been lifted. The GJPD says no suspect was found in or near the facility.
