Vaccine testing center hours change

Local News

Grand Junction, Colo. – For those in Grand Junction looking to get tested for COVID-19, Mesa County Public Health is updating its testing center hours. It will now be open 7 AM to 1 PM Monday through Friday, no appointment is required.

Public Health says the shift in times is caused largely by the rising temperatures in Grand Junction. The new testing hours will now take place in tents outside.

They also encourage everyone to continue to get tested as Delta Variant cases continue to rise,

“Over 90 percent of our cases are the Delta Variant, and in most cases it’s going to be very mild symptoms. It’s going to resemble an allergy. So, we encourage people to get tested so that they know whether they have COVID, and then they can tell others that they may have been exposed to COVID as well,” says Mesa County Public Health’s Jeff Kuhr.

The testing center is located outside of Mesa County Public Health, at 510 29 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO .
