GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — 2.4 million dollars has been set aside by the Ute water conservancy district for water pipeline improvements.
Ute water began the final phase of the capital waterline replacement project Wednesday which includes replacing nearly 45 hundred-feet of an 18 inch waterline on 30 road between I-70 business loop and F road.
The water line being replaced is nearly 60 years old and has exceeded its life expectancy.
District and project engineers say they do not expect to have any road closures or detours.
The project is set to be complete by December of this year.
