GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Saddle up, because the Western Slope Cowboy Poetry Gathering is here this weekend.
The Western Slope Cowboy Poetry gathering is full of music, raffles, a silent auction, and poetry.
The two-day gathering kicked off early Friday. Saturday’s performances start at 10:00 am and end at 7:00 pm.
There is a fee for evening performances, which start after 5:00 pm for both days. Daytime performances, however, are free.
You can expect music and poetry from a variety of cowboys and girls. All of this talent traveled here to Grand Junction from Texas, Utah, New Mexico and other areas of Colorado.
The talented bunch is here to express their love for the colorful cowboy way of life.
