What’s Next For Connected Lakes After July 4th Fire

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The July 4th fire in the Connected Lakes area of the James M. Robb State Park left local officials and residents shaken and worried about future fires.

Despite the damage, the community is using this as an opportunity to teach others about wildfire prevention and recovery.

Members of the Two Rivers Fire Coalition met at the burn site today to review the damage and discuss how the park will move forward.
