GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX)- The Mesa County Workforce Center serves as a bridge between employers and applicants at its midsummer job fair. After a productive fair in June, the workforce center wants to keep the job offers going by letting people connect to their next potential job.
25 employers are eager to hire the next set of employees for their many open positions. With no résumé required, people come dressed for success and hopeful to be hired.
“It’s a career, it’s my future,” Gage Gould expresses, “It’s not just today’s job, it’s not just today’s go-to, but hopefully the rest of my life. The fact that I’ve got this good job, I can buy a house for my family and live my life.”
Hosting job fairs is one of many ways the Mesa County Workforce Center support the local business community. A few attendees come in unexpectant of a job offer on the spot.
