Jorge Yon pleaded guilty to criminal attempt to commit patronizing a prostituted child. The judge handed down a sentence of potentially 20 years to life on sex offender specific probation.
The judge previously rejected a plea agreement that would have resulted in Yon being incarcerated. Yon’s defense believes they could have taken this to trial, since Yon is the only one out of seven men, who did not actually show up to a motel or hotel on Horizon Drive in Grand Junction.
However, Yon says that from the beginning he did not want to fight the charges against him. He only wanted to a find a way to get a sentence to probation so Yon could show that he can succeed.
