The Western Slope reacts to a possible Hickenlooper Senate run


He says he will give it “serious thought.”

After announcing the end of his presidential campaign, former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper says he will consider shifting his focus to unseating Senator Cory Gardner.

During the last few weeks of his bid for president, lawmakers in Washington called for Hickenlooper to do just that, because of his success in Colorado as both governor, and mayor of Denver. However, opinions on the Western Slope vary.
