GRAND JUNCTION, Colo — A last call to action for voters in Mesa County.

You’ll find three opportunities to vote yes or no on ballot measures tied to marijuana.

Prop 119 bumps up the retail sales tax 5% to help fund a statewide out-of-school program.

1A increases taxes for residents five percent on the first sale or transfer of retail marijuana by a Mesa County facility.

1C will give Mesa County the option to issue licenses to allow cultivation, manufacturing, and testing facilities.

Plus, a federal judge ruled students in the Douglas County School District need to mask up.

The judge ruled a mask exemption issued by the health department violates the rights of students with disabilities.

This new ruling holds through November 8th, when the court will hear a preliminary injunction to settle the matter.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are in Europe for the G20 summit where he’s meeting with world leaders to discuss trade, climate and education, and much more. This as Democrats continue to move forward with Biden’s ambitious infrastructure package.

Finally, U.S. Representative, Adam Kinzinger, a Republican, who represents Illinois’s 16th Congressional District will not seek re-election in 2022.
