GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Mesa County Animal Services and Grand Rivers Humane Society have come together to find compassionate community members willing to foster cats and dogs. They also need shelter supplies.
Nan McNees, board president of the Grand Rivers Humane Society, tells WesternSlopeNow that the national issue of homeless cats and dogs has now reached Mesa County. One solution is foster care for these animals.
Grand Rivers offers essential support to foster families, providing supplies for the care of these animals and covering their vital medical costs. McNees said foster homes help cats and dogs, allowing them to rest and heal. If fostering isn’t an option for you, consider donating dog food, cat food, cat litter, or any other pet supplies to Mesa County Animal Services.
Grand Rivers Humane Society has over 90 cats and 15 dogs, your support can make a difference in the lives of these animals.
