Iowa Western is no stranger when it comes to the Junior College World Series. They have come to Grand Junction 19 times, and won the national title three times (2010,’12,’14).
They are currently ranked as the No. 9 team in the country, but they are playing like the best as they knocked off No. 1 Wabash Valley to earn a spot at the 2019 Alpine Bank JUCO World Series.
Head coach Mark Rardin is in his 17th year as the head coach of the Reivers and has led them to a (48-9) season. The Reivers have the third best batting average in the country at .361 and their pitchers nearly average 12 strikeouts per game, which is fourth in the country.
Iowa Western is paired up against Connor’s State 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May, 26.
