STRiVE organization to hold benefit concert

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX)- Headlining Friday’s concert a tribute band to The Eagles, The Boys of Summer. Proceeds from the concert go to help STRiVE continue providing services and support to individuals with disabilities and their families.

STRiVE has organized this kind of event for years. Its staff expresses how concert goers help benefit work done in the community through their support.

“This benefits our children services are in a different programs here at STRiVE so we have a lot of different things,” STRiVE Vice President Doug Sorter shares, “We have shortfalls in our funding but this helps fill those gaps for any kind of things that we need for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.”

At 20 dollars a ticket, the two-hour benefit concert will be held at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate and the venue is open seating so attendees are asked to bring their own chairs.
