Town of Palisade to Elect New Mayor

News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Municipal elections are being held across Colorado from Montrose to Fruita, including the Town of Palisade.

Residents of Palisade are voting on one ballot measure, asking if folks want the town to continue publishing its expenditures in the newspaper, otherwise they would be posted online, saving the town money.

Residents are also voting to fill three Board of Trustee seats, with eight candidates to choose from.

Additionally, locals are electing a new mayor for the town, with Dave Edwards and Greg Mikolai in the running.

The current mayor of Palisade is leaving office after serving at least two full terms.

We asked Mayor Roger Granat what he wishes for palisade going forward.

“I hope that they can continue the direction that the council has started, I wish the new elected officials all the luck in the world, and I just hope that they find it as gratifying as I have,” said Granat.
