Grand Junction Rockies infielder Christian Koss is having a season for the ages. To add to his two Pioneer League player of the week awards, winning Pioneer League player of the month in July, Koss was named a Pioneer League All-Star.
Koss was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round of the 2019 draft out of UC Irvine.
The former anteater is having a season that will go down in the record books. He leads the league in batting average (.382), on base percentage (.478), and is second in RBI’s (37), slugging percentage (.718), and on base + slugging (1.196).
Koss is starting at third and hitting out of the No. 3 spot in the lineup for the Pioneer/Northwest All-Star game.
