Bramwell Showered with Honors After Four-Homer Weekend

Bramwell? More like BAM-well...

Well you don’t see that everyday, or every series. Colorado Mesa junior catcher Spencer Bramwell was named the NCBWA regional player of the week and RMAC player of the week for his performance against No. 9 Southern New Hampshire.

In the three game series the San Clemente, CA native smacked four homeruns, going 7-for-13 at the plate, with seven runs and eight RBI’s. On Friday night, he became the first Maverick since 2003 to hit three homeruns in a game. Bramwell has never done that at any level. The closest he came to that feat was hitting two homeruns in a high school game. Did I mention he also threw two people out trying to steal?

With the bat and defensive prowess of Bramwell, the Mavs swept the No. 9 Penmen, and outscored them 38-10.
