CMU Baseball Advances In RMAC Tourney; Todd Strong On Mound


Colorado Mesa pitcher Reagan Todd shut down the MSU Denver Roadrunners Thursday in the losers bracket of the RMAC Tournament, winning 10-2 at Suplizio Field. 

The top-seed survived the elimination game, after dropping their first tournament game Wednesday against Regis, 15-12. 

Reagan Todd (7-1) redeemed the CMU rotation Thursday, throwing eight innings, striking out eight and only allowing two earned runs. Tannder Herdt relieved Todd and threw a scoreless 9th. 

The Mavs scored six runs on seven hits in the 4th inning, stretching the lead to eight. Neither team, would score again. 

Mesa advances to the next round of the RMAC Tournament losers bracket. They will play the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Suplizio Field.
