CMU Football: Mavs Move Up in National Coaches Poll


The Colorado Mesa football team jumped six spots to 19th in the latest NCAA AFCA Coaches Poll, following a 34-21 win against Eastern New Mexico Saturday. 

The Mavs are the second-highest ranked team in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, behind CSU-Pueblo at 9th. Texas A&M Commerce remained the top-ranked team in the nation, rising to 2-0 following week 2 of the football season. The Lions survived William Jewell 27-17. Fellow RMAC school The Colorado School of Mines finished the week 2 poll in 26th. 

The Mavs continue RMAC play Saturday, September 15th against Western State Colorado at 1:00 p.m.
