CMU Football Rallies From 17 Down To Topple Hardrockers

The Colorado Mesa football team overcame a double-digit halftime deficit to knock off South Dakota Mines 36-33 Sunday from Stocker Stadium.

Maverick freshman running back Pailate Makakona found the endzone twice in the final 9:12 of the game, giving CMU the lead for the first time in the game. A late interception by Mesa’s Antonio Clark preserved the victory.

The Mavericks head on the road next to Eastern New Mexico University September 8th at 7:00 p.m.
