CMU Introduces Jackson as Head Football Coach

CMU Has Its Guy

Colorado Mesa has its guy. Tremaine Jackson is the new head football coach for the Mavericks and was formally introduced Friday.

Jackson has been coaching football for the last 14 years, but this is his first head coaching gig. Before CMU, Jackson was the defensive line coach at Texas State (DI-FBS). Before that he was the defensive coordinator at Abilene Christian University (DI-FCS) for two seasons.

He was the assistant head coach at the University of Sioux Falls where he helped lead the Cougars to a (32-5) record.

Sports director Troy Lynch caught up with the new coach to see why he wanted to coach at Mesa, and how he plans on changing the program.
