Sports

For the first time in program history, the Colorado Mesa women’s lacrosse team is heading to the NCAA DII National Tournament.

The NCAA announced it Sunday as the (14-3) season under first year head coach Shanta Loecker paid off and made history.

The Mavs will be dancing in the first round against a team that they know from earlier this season. On May 10, CMU will face RMAC rival Lindenwood who it lost to earlier in the season 18-15.

The game will take place at Regis University and will start at 5:00 p.m.
