Delta Will Rely on Elite Offense in Title Game

The Delta Panthers have the best offense in the state, and they are going to need to squeeze out every drop left in it in the 2A state championship game against No. 2 Sterling.

Good thing they have best quarterback in 2A, junior Nolan Bynum. Bynum is having an all-state season leading the division in passing yards (2,400), touchdown passes (33), and lowest amount of interceptions with 150+ attempts (5).

Nolan gives a lot of praise to his wide receiving core that has been outstanding all season and especially the postseason.

Delta likes to throw the ball a little more than keeping it on the ground, but they are still effective in that area. Senior runningback Ku Moo leads the team with 646 yards (6.4 YPC), and sophomore Timothy Horn is behind him with 430 yards (7.7 YPC).

Senior wide receiver Hunter Hughes is second in 2A with 936 receiving yards and the most touchdown catches with 17.

Delta will play in the CHSAA 2A state championship Saturday November 30, at 1:00 p.m. at CSU-Pueblo.
